As a child, some of my most cherished memories will always be our summer family vacations to one of the most beautiful parts of the USA, New England.  My Irish/Italian parents would bring my seven siblings and our trusty Irish Setter to either Chatham, Massachusetts or Bar Harbor, Maine for hiking and biking in the mountains, kayaking and swimming in the crystal clear lakes, shopping in the quaint small towns, or tasting some dynamite seafood.  And because my father spent his childhood In Connecticut, he was the lobster guru.  Every year before summer’s end, Dad would venture early in the morning to the pier to pick out a fresh lobster or two for dinner which ,as kids, we would then promptly name (Larry, Fred etc).  If you’ve never had a fresh, timeless lobster roll surrounded by the laughter of family in New England, you’re missing out.

  But living near Philadelphia, where can you conveniently get a fresh lobster roll that lives up to the name?  The options are few and far between.  This is why my wife and I set out to create an authentic New England lobster roll experience and make it available to the Garden State. 

Real deal lobster rolls focus on quality.  We start by sourcing the freshest (never frozen) lobster meat straight from Maine, then pair that with my mother’s homemade split top buns instead of a flimsy hot dog roll (because everyone knows a good sandwich starts with great bread) and then we finish off the perfect bread by toasting it in imported grass fed butter from Ireland.
